It is a company focused on the development of video games, computer software, particularly for mobile platforms, interactive and promotional applications, and, above all, it has a considerable presence in the national market of Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (RM).

Regarding the human resources assigned to the project, the Ground Control Studios team will consist of:

Rui Guedes
Master in Informatics Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (2009), specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, having conducted research and produced a dissertation in these areas. He has professional experience in developing software solutions for companies, namely for sectors such as healthcare, logistics and telecommunications. He was also a monitor in programming courses at FEUP (2007-2008). With the skills acquired in programming and software development, he embarked on a career in Video Game Design, including Return Zero, Mr. Walter and Shave The Sheep. The next step was the creation of his own studio, Ground Control Studios, in 2014, where he has started a strategy and business development focused on pioneering Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality. In this context, he coordinated / participated in projects such as Infraspeak Hololens Maintenance Solution, Quinta Alegre AR Interactive Model, Quinta Alegre VR tour, Portuguese Air Force VR Experience, Beato Creative Hub AR, Beato VR Tour, HoloStore - Hololens approach to a digital showroom, El English Cut VR Tour, Madeira Island VR Tour, Return Zero VR, Porto VR Tour, Porto Interactive Tour, Hyper Gods, ArchiVR and Cosmonaut (Unity3D, Oculus Rift, Kinect) PC Game. As a result of this entrepreneurial activity, he has been awarded several prizes / honorable mentions, highlighting “Startup most voted in Beta-i Global Tourism Innovators Acceleration Program Final Round”, “Playstation Awards Finalist” and “Innovation Award” by part of SINFO. Additionally, he is certified as “Microsoft XBox Indie Developer”, “Nintendo Authorized Developer”, “MCPS: Microsoft Certified Professional” and “Sony Playstation Partner”, and is proficient in C #, Unity3D, Microsoft SQL Server, 3D Studio Max, ASP. NET MVC, ASP.NET AJAX, ASP.NET, SharePoint, JavaScript, PHP, Java, VB.NET and MySQL. Currently he is also a Guest Professor at the Escola Superior de Media Design.

Joana Castro
Degree in Computer Science from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (2017). Along this academic path, she joined Ground Control Studios as an intern. However, due to his skills in 3D modeling and 2D art, using tools such as Paint Tool Sai, Adobe Photoshop, Blender and Unreal Engine 4, in combination with his proficiency in C ++ and JavaScript, he integrated the company's staff, where he develops software and does research in computer graphics, as well as intervening in Virtual Reality projects, as a specialist. He also has experience in Graphics GameJams.
